This new book on the history of St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle was commissioned to mark the 660th anniversary of the foundation of the Order of the Garter and the College of St George by King Edward III in 1348 and the 60th anniversary of the reintroduction of the annual service of thanksgiving by King George VI in 1948.

Written by Hugo Vickers, biographer of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, with a foreword by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, KG.

Colour photographs are by Elizabeth Vickers, many taken especially for this book.

Published in a 184 page hard cover edition with a dust jacket, containing 200 illustrations, it measures 220mm x 265mm (8.75" x 10.5").
